There’s multiple Conjuration Sorcs already completing T100 as early as 70s to 80s. I would argue the mana issues are non existent because Ice Shard vs Conjuration rely on diff set of stats and resources. So no difference with a Conjuration build. But early game you will have problems with mana. Even without prodigy, a Hydra only cost like what 11 mana? If you’re an Ice Shard build player, once you get to a point, you can sustain your mana. When you manage to get a Prodigy (even the lowest roll) it’s really quite easy to get mana back because most of your skills are Cooldown based. So it has nothing to do with Conjuration. If you have issues with CDR from defensive skills, then you will still have the same issue. If you don’t have issues with CDR from defensive skills, then you won’t have issues with Conjurations based on CDR. As often with Sorcs you run mostly with defensive skills that rely on CDR so there’s not really much difference there. You just need CDR and it’s not that terrible when you’re like in the leveling phase. It’s not a meta build (at least when I adopted it but I think it’s still not a popular build in comparison to other Sorc builds) It is in fact easier than when I was leveling my Ice Shard in Eternal and more entertaining Don’t listen to folks who say a pure Conjuration build is weak below higher nightmare dungeons.
